A MOTORCYCLE UTILITY LIGHT FOR THE ARTIST MEETS MECHANIC

Over the holidays, I found the perfect utility light for my dad to use while working on his motorcycles. My father is a serious collector, specializing in vintage British bikes. His basement and garage are full of Nortons, Triumphs, and BSAs, among others, and he spends countless hours restoring and rebuilding them. The perfect example of an artist-meets-mechanic, my dad is always on the lookout for new tools to help improve his restoration techniques. This year, it was me who found his new go-to gadget - a unique LED flexible work light (conveniently sold by Pegasus Lighting, the company I blog for!):

The light has 24 bright white LED and is battery operated with a long and sturdy flexible neck. It also has a solid clamp and magnetic base. My father said he had never found something quite so perfect for doing detailed work on his beloved bikes. (And trust me - he’s been doing this for a while). Let me show you the ways he can use this light:

To light the body from above, my dad can attach the strong magnet to the bike’s muffler, and curve the light up and around.

When he wants to illuminate his work from another angle, he can use the heavy-duty base to balance the light on the seat. It has enough weight to stay put.

The strong clamp also lets my dad position the light at even more angles. He really likes the plastic and rubber guards on the clamp, which protect his bikes from any scratches or damages.

My dad also uses the clamp to attach to foot pegs. This lets him easily see what’s going on at the very bottom of a motorcycle.

To focus on the tiny intricacies of the motorcycles, my dad can fit the small LED light into a bunch of different nooks and crannies within the body. After using the light for awhile, my dad marveled about the sturdy flexible neck, which stays put even if he accidentally bumps into it.

In The News Playboy Bunnies for HONDA

Visit the official LCR HONDA MotoGP website. Well, MotoGP has always been associated with babes & paddocks with skin tight huggers, but now we are going one-step further. We are actually going to see Playboy Bunnies!
LCR HONDA has tied up with Playboy as its sponsor for the MotoGP session. Why Playboy? Why not? First of all, its difficult to find a sponsor for MotoGP despite the appeal it has probably because of its immense high cost and limited target audience. So what’s up with Repsol HONDA? Well, that is gonna be there. Over the past two years, Lucio Cecchinellos LCR Honda team has secured a string of smaller title sponsorship deals for individual races, featuring companies such as GIVI, Eurobet and Lee Jeans. This has been a successful way of funding the team, making it easier to persuade companies to fork over smaller amounts of money, but of course also runs into the risk of uncertain future.
Engine features of the HONDA 212V MotoGP Bike: V4, DOHC, 4S, liquid cooled pneumatic valve 800cc engine, with maximum power of over 210 HP and maximum speed of over 325 km/H with 6 speed cassette type gearbox with alternative optional ratio and fully adjustable multi plate slipper clutch. Of course the exhaust has to be titanium (oopsy, there goes a lot of moolah!). Physical statistics are (in mm) 2050 x 1125 x 645 of overall length, height & width and it weighs only 148kg. The tank can hold upto 21 litres.
The extraordinaire chassis features aluminium twin spare frame, fully adjustable steering and geometry, fully adjustable LCR magnesium tripple clamp. Front suspensions are fully adjustable Öhlins TTX20 upside down while the rear suspension is also fully adjustable Öhlins, but TTX36 Pro-link type link. Oil has to be ELF, tyres are from Bridgestone, while the brakes doing duty are Brembo in the front with front four piston caliper 314mm carbon disc while at the rear rear twin piston caliper with ventilated steel disc.
According to Moto Corse and GP One Lucio Cecchinello has sealed the deal and Playboy Magazine will be sponsoring LCR Honda for the 2009 MotoGP season.
From ciggies (Malboro) sponsoring Ducati to bunnies, ee-ha! This is adult entertainment. So…Bring it on!
